Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998), better known as MrBeast in the US, is an American YouTube star. He is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Six years ago, he was credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that focus on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson was 13 years old when began uploading videos to YouTube under the name "MrBeast6000". His first content included "Let's Plays" and "videos which estimate how much other YouTubers have." He went viral in 2017 after his "counting to 100,000" video racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days, and he has grown in popularity since then, with many of his videos earning thousands of views.Over time his style of content has changed to include challenge and donation videos that award thousands of dollars, videos involving arduous tasks or challenges to survive and original videos. Donaldson had several of his childhood friends help him to manage his expanding channel. MrBeast is Donaldson's main YouTube channel. The channel surpassed 100 million users on July 28, 2022.
